Welcome to our Spring edcamp 2025! There are over 30 sessions scheduled throughout the afternoon covering a wide range of best practices, ideas for leveraging technology, and teacher wellness.

Please make sure you are registered for at least two sessions.  This will serve as our state-mandated (i.e., QSAC required) sign-in sheet for professional development.

This session is mandatory for all aides.  Handle with Care training is designed to equip educators with essential skills to prevent, de-escalate, and safely manage crisis situations. This workshop will focus on trauma-informed approaches, effective communication strategies, and non-violent intervention techniques to ensure a safe and supportive school environment for all students.

Participants will have dedicated time to:

☑️ Review IA feedback & 2024 subject reports to refine marking practices
☑️ Organize and prepare IAs for submission
☑️ Receive guidance on IBIS uploads, including support and tutorials

Exploring Difficult Conversations in the Classroom LIMITED

Building on discussions from our recent faculty meeting at WMM, this conversation-based session will explore how teachers navigate and teach difficult topics in today’s classrooms. Educators will have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and collaborate on strategies for fostering open, thoughtful discussions while addressing sensitive issues with care. While rooted in the Humanities, this session is open to all subject areas and will provide practical approaches to engaging students critically and empathetically with complex topics.
