Welcome to our Spring edcamp 2025! There are over 30 sessions scheduled throughout the afternoon covering a wide range of best practices, ideas for leveraging technology, and teacher wellness.

This session is dedicated to assessing department needs and developing possible goals/themes for the 2025-2026 school year. History teachers or Special Education teachers collaborating in History classrooms are welcomed.
Participants will learn how to access their new Scoir accounts and student letter of recommendation requests. Additionally, staff will learn the key differences between a teacher's and a counselor's letters of recommendation. As well as a way to streamline their letter of recommendation writing process.

This session is mandatory for all aides. Handle with Care training is designed to equip educators with essential skills to prevent, de-escalate, and safely manage crisis situations. This workshop will focus on trauma-informed approaches, effective communication strategies, and non-violent intervention techniques to ensure a safe and supportive school environment for all students.
This workshop is designed to help educators understand the impact of ACES on students' emotionsl, behavioral, and acdemic development. Particiapants will gain insights into the science of trauma and how it manifests in the classroom. Classroom strategies will be discussed to support students affected by trauma.
This session is designed to support teachers in setting up our new Technology Engineering Boss Laser Cutters and implementing thie use in the classroom. Other topics to be covered include: machine maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and basic commands and operations.
Discover how to choreograph student movement for seamless transitions and dynamic collaboration in any subject area. This immersive session will explore strategies for shifting between front-facing instruction, seated teamwork, board work, and partner rotations to enhance engagement and learning.

In this workshop, educators will learn how to guide students through the process of verifying sources and assessing credibility. Using a hands-on approach, we’ll explore a lesson that demonstrates why certain sources, like .com websites, may lack academic reliability. Participants will walk through an engaging activity that helps students analyze specific claims, identify missing citations, and develop critical research skills. The goal is to empower students to make informed decisions about source selection rather than simply avoiding certain domains. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and resources to implement this lesson in their own classrooms.
This workshop is designed for IB teachers seeking support with Internal Assessments (IAs).
Participants will have dedicated time to:

Building on discussions from our recent faculty meeting at WMM, this conversation-based session will explore how teachers navigate and teach difficult topics in today’s classrooms. Educators will have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and collaborate on strategies for fostering open, thoughtful discussions while addressing sensitive issues with care. While rooted in the Humanities, this session is open to all subject areas and will provide practical approaches to engaging students critically and empathetically with complex topics.
